The fire came first.

At 1050 W Sunset Blvd, where Sunset meets N Figueroa beneath the 110 freeway, Halal Kebab by Farhod runs a charcoal grill in full view of the line. Koobideh, spelled kubideh on the menu, goes over the coals next to chicken, beef, lamb and ribeye, then into plates, wraps, burritos and sandwiches. It is the stand people mean when they say "the kebab under the 110."

The stand is at 1050 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90012, at N Figueroa St under the 110 freeway, next to The Orsini II. Look for the black canopy and the smoke.

What are the hours?

Tuesday to Sunday, 5:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Closed Mondays.

Is the food halal?

Yes. Every item on the Clover menu is listed as 100% halal, from the koobideh to the ribeye. Ask the team if you need certification details.

What is koobideh, and what should I order first?

Koobideh, spelled kubideh on the Clover menu, is two skewers of seasoned ground beef and lamb grilled over charcoal. Order it as a plate with rice, salad and lavash the first time. Then try the beef or ribeye. Every kebab also comes as a wrap, a burrito or a sandwich.

Can I order online?

Yes. Order pickup on Clover and collect at the stand, usually about 20 minutes later. Tax and an optional tip are added at checkout. Delivery runs through Uber Eats.

Is there seating and parking?

There is outdoor seating at the long communal table. Street parking on Figueroa and Sunset gets tight after 8 PM, so give yourself a few minutes.

Do you cater events?

Yes, across California, by application. Farhod's crew brings the charcoal grill on site for private parties, corporate nights, brand events and film sets. In July 2026 the crew cooked for Spain's national team. Apply through the catering form on this page. A sent application is not a confirmed booking.

Why do people call it the kebab under the 110?

Because the stand sits beneath the 110 freeway at Sunset Boulevard and North Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles, and that is what people in LA call it.

Is a second location opening?
